This took a while, but I have another book coming out!

“Seductive Takeover” is the story of Claire and her goddaughter, Nyx. On paper, Claire has it all figured out. She’s thirty-five, she’s a powerhouse in her field, and she’s just one promotion away from the Regional Manager title she’s worked her whole life for. Her world is built on order, logic, and keeping her emotions – and her desires – tightly under wraps.
Then she gets a phone call from her best friend, Jennifer, who’s at her wits’ end. Jennifer needs a favor: she needs Claire to mentor her rebellious daughter, “Angel,” and get her away from a bad crowd. Claire thinks, Sure, how hard can it be to keep a twenty-year-old in line for a few months?
Famous last words.
The woman who walks into Claire’s life isn’t “Angel.” She’s Nyx. With her edgy white-streaked hair and a leather-jacket attitude, Nyx doesn’t want a mentor. Struggling with her own demons, Nyx tries to keep her distance from the woman she almost considers family and doesn’t want to hurt, but being forced to live in the same small apartment isn’t helping either of them. A part of Nyx thinks Claire could be the perfect toy.
I enjoyed writing about how quickly the power flips. Claire thinks she’s the one in charge, but Nyx is a master of the “seductive takeover.” She starts dismantling Claire’s professional boundaries one by one, even while trying to spare the woman from the pain Nyx knows will follow.
But it’s not just a game between the two of them. We’ve also got Veronica—Claire’s high-powered, ruthless boss. Veronica is determined to sabotage Claire’s career, and she’s not above using Nyx to do it.
Soon, Claire is caught in a high-stakes triangle of corporate espionage and forbidden attraction. She’s fighting to keep her job, but she’s also fighting the realization that she might actually want to give up control.
If you’re into stories with heavy age-gap tension, “Ice Queen” characters being pushed to their limits, and a healthy dose of power-play, you’re going to love watching Claire realize that sometimes, losing everything is the only way to find what you actually want.
